Kisa
Hospitality
Kisa started its life as a Wellington pop-up, serving tantalizing & dressed-up Middle Eastern street food within a fast-casual environment.
With the need for a special space to call home, Wonder was approached to develop the interior design for their Cuba Street site.
The interior allows soft light to dance on textured surfaces, a soft & considered palette of natural materials with an emphasis on warm hues.
Silver in Hospitality — Best Awards 2023
The tonal palette of Kisa's interior draws inspiration from the natural landscapes of the Middle East.
Earthy tones such as terracotta, sand, and deep ochre create a warm and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of the region's desert landscapes and sun-drenched architecture.
Artist Emma Kohlmann was commissioned to produce a series of works,
framed & installed by local Tom Mackie.
Bespoke banquette seating spans the length of the restaurant windows,
pulling the attention inward from the busy Cuba Street outdoors.
